

Lost River Film Fest Announces Programming for 9th Annual Festival, Feb 5-8, at the Price Center
Enticing a few hundred out-of-town filmmakers and film lovers to Hays County every year since 2017, the popular, non-profit Lost River Film Fest has announced its schedule of new, independent films to be shown February 5-8 at the Price Center, thanks to generous support from the San Marcos Arts Commission. People and Paper: Using Collage to Enhance Creativity and Relationships Coming to Center Jan. 22 & 29
Local artist Lou Stein will lead this class for creatives who love to work with paper and people. Just like all the art programming at the Price Center, this class is designed to challenge you creatively and strengthen and/or create a social connection with others. Participants will learn about the basics of collage. Then each person will choose 6 to 10 different pieces of paper to fit a 5” x 7” finished work. New Weekly Interpretive Movement Class Begins January 29
Nicole Groleau is a dancer, visual artist and poet with more than 15 years of training and performance experience who enjoys helping others reach better health through the practice of interpretive dance. We’re excited to be partnering with her for a new weekly dance class offering guided interpretive dance movements for movers of all kinds seeking release and reconnection. The new class, which costs $5 per session, will meet on Thursdays from 5-6:15pm. , beginning January 29.

NEW POLLINATOR GARDEN INSPIRED BY HUMMINGBIRD MURAL GOING IN AT PRICE CENTER
The Price Center’s chief gardener and volunteer extraordinaire Dianne Wassenich is collaborating with other local volunteers and the San Marcos Discovery Center to plant a new pollinator garden on the Comanche St. side of the Price Center property. Earlier this year, the Center installed a new Hummingbird Mural by local artist Michelle Wilson on the west side of the 1910 building, which served as the inspiration for the project. 3 pollinators all visited the same Maximillian


Price Center Arts Committee Sets 2026 Main Exhibit Calendar
The Price Center Arts Committee is looking forward to 2026 with new art exhibits and a few new additions to their process to improve the overall experience of the gallery -- named Best of Hays for the last three years running -- for participating artists and viewers alike. To begin with, the 2026 Main Exhibit Calendar has been established with topics to inspire you to create and submit original works. ANNUAL HOLIDAY SING ALONG & CELEBRATION ADDS PRICE TIME DANCERS

REFLECTIONS ON LA VIRGEN NOW ON DISPLAY IN PRICE CENTER UPPER GALLERY
Twenty-eight beautiful and personal depictions of Our Lady of Guadalupe by area artists Ana Borne and Rebecca Switzer are hanging in the Upper Gallery at the Price Center now through Jan 3. The unique Pop-Up Show features work in a variety of media including found object assemblage, handmade paper, fiber art, mosaic, neon, and more. All of the works are for sale. FMA TXST Returns Nov. 22 with Fall Term Fashion Show: 'Dream Logic'
The Fashion Merchandising Association (FMA) of Texas State will return to the Price Center Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. for their fall term Fashion Show: Dreams Logic . The interactive show will feature student models, designers, hair and make-up specialists, stylists, and photographers.
