For the sixth time, the Price Center & Garden has been named a Best of Hays recipient! This year, the accolades are once again for Best Art Gallery/Exhibit.
“We are grateful to all who nominated and/or voted for us, said Clay DeStefano, executive director. “The Center reflects all we serve, and we are honored to serve this vibrant, creative community,” he added.

The Price Center Arts Committee conceives, curates, and hangs all art shows and hosts all receptions and related arts activities. Board Chair Joan Nagel serves as the Committee chair; other members include Margaret Adie, Garrie Borden (another PC Board member), Clay DeStefano (PC executive director), and Tracy Weinberg. Since opening the community art gallery in 2017, the Price Center has shown the work of 549 different artists.
This 2024 win adds to the Price Center's past Best of Hays honors in 2017, 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023 for Best Community Center, Live Theatre Venue, and Art Gallery. In addition, the Price Center Gallery was recognized in 2023 by Glasstire magazine for “hosting one of the 10 best art exhibits in Texas.”
This year, another Price Center Partner, SMTX Yoga, owned and operated by Anna Broome, won Best of Hays honors for Best Yoga Studio.
