Retired dance professor Dr. Cindy Gratz brings her expertise and energy back to the Center for three lively dance classes each week for the fall session beginning Sept. 10. Our Ballet for Adult Beginners class returned August 12. Classes are free and open to all skill levels. Price Center Membership is required for regular attendees.
Gratz leads a fun, right-paced weekly Jazz Dance Class every Wednesday from 2- 3 p.m. that features easy dance moves, great music, and great conversation. The class resumes Wednesday, Sept. 10. A second hour-long class follows for individuals who want to perform in the Christmas Show the group takes to local retirement homes and the Pirce Center during the holiday season.
Gratz is joined by local dancer and Price Center regular Barbara Piersol each Friday from 3-4 p.m. beginning Sept. 12 for Clogging Class. The pair leads participants through a fun session of clogging.
In addition, instructor Kathi Goodfellow offers a weekly Beginning Ballet for Adults session every Tuesday from 10:30 – 12:30 that is right-paced for adult beginners and those returning to dance after some time.
Registration is not required for any of the classes. Walk right in. For more information about the Price Center and its services, please call 512-392-2900, stop by the Center at 222 W. San Antonio St. or visit price-center.org or Facebook @ Price Center & Garden or Instagram @smtxpricecenter.
