LOVE AND INFORMATION COMING TO PRICE CENTER APRIL 14-23

The Best of Hays' #1 theatre group, The Broke Thespian's Theatre Company (BTTC) is set to present the second show of their 2023 season, Love and Information by Caryl Churchill is set to run April 14-23 at the downtown Center.

Someone sneezes. Someone can’t get a signal. Someone won’t answer the door. Someone put an elephant on the stairs. Someone’s not ready to talk. Someone is her brother’s mother. Someone hates irrational numbers. Someone told the police. Someone got a message from the traffic light. Someone’s never felt like this before... In this fast moving kaleidoscope, more than a hundred characters try to make sense of what they know.

“Love and Information is a non-traditional script, devoid of all the elements seemingly necessary to create a successful rehearsal process,” said Katie Henderson, director and BTTC Secretary. “Some conversations seem to start in the middle of a conversation while others end before we're ready for them to.” Katie continues, “Through improv, dance, and guided movement, our 7-person ensemble brings over 150 characters to life. Love and Information pulls from real life and so it has a little bit of everything…no two productions of Love and Information are the same. We hope they hum in recognition, relating to the moments we've built from scratch.”

Adrian Garcia Velásquez, assistant director and marketing committee member, adds, “Love and Information, to me, is to love life, even when you have no stomach for it. This play can be warm, beautiful, and utterly heart wrenching at times. I firmly believe the audience will be able to see themselves in our show. With the cast of this caliber, we are eager to show everyone just how incredible they are in portraying such vulnerability. This show is the humanity and love that effortlessly seeps into the memories we don't think twice about.”
