BEEKEEPERS TO SHARE QUILTING AND SEWING SKILLS ALONG WITH SOCIAL CONNECTIONS TWICE MONTHLY
One of the Price Center’s longest-running communities – Bee Friends – a quilting bee that has been gathering at the Center twice a month for nearly two decades, is reformatting itself into Beekeepers Quilting & Sewing, led by members of the Bee who will share their expertise and artistic abilities with beginners and advanced sewers alike every second and fourth Thursday from 10:30-12:30 (longer if participants want to stay) at the Center.
Like many of the free offerings at the Price Center, the program offers many benefits to all participants. Specifically, this regular gathering will enhance one’s ability to achieve different creative outcomes through collaboration. Additionally, the therapeutic benefit of regular and meaningful socialization with others is particularly good for anyone feeling socially isolated. If you want to learn sewing basics, take your skills to the next level, or find a new creative social outlet, Beekeepers Quilting & Sewing is for you!
The twice-monthly sessions are free and open to all. Donations are always welcome. Interested sewers are encouraged to join in as they can. For more information, please email jonnietaos@yahoo.com or stop by the Center at 222 W. San Antonio St.
