Art is Back at Price Center via Two New Gallery Shows

Visual Art displays are back at the Price Center via two new gallery shows opening this month at the downtown community center. “Old Things, New Meanings,” a 5-person Pop-Up Show, debuted in the newly renovated Garden Room this past Saturday, and “A light at the End of the Tunnel,” a new online show, debuts on the Center's website Thurs., Oct. 15. Both shows feature the work of local artists and most of the art is available for purchase.

“The importance of art and cultural celebrations seems to only have intensified for so many of us over the past six months,” said Joan Nagel, Arts Committee Chair. “We’re grateful to have the ability to keep local art visible any way we can,” she added.

Nagel and the four additional members of the Center’s Arts Committee created an all-assemblage art show using a new portable display wall to allow the freshly painted walls to cure before a hanging a show. “Old Things, New Meanings” features more than 30 new and familiar works by the talented creative team, which curates and hangs the art shows at the Center. The same group has served as the primary volunteer painting crew that has been re-painting the first-floor gallery venues of the Center during the COVID closure. The Pop-Up is available to via daily at the Center through the end of the month.

“A light at the End of the Tunnel,” features over 40 works by local artists created to provide hope and inspiration to all who view it. It will remain on display online through Nov. Art may be purchased online. Heres a link to the show:
