The Price Center & Garden is a non-profit visual and performing arts and cultural community center dedicated to the healthy enrichment of lives across generations. As required by its charter, the Price Center conducted its annual membership meeting and election of officers on May 20, during the opening reception for its current gallery show: Artful Alchemy. Following brief remarks by the board chair, treasurer, and executive director, dues-paying members of the Price Center unanimously elected the 2026/27 officers.

Board Chair, Joan Nagel opened the formal meeting with a warm welcome and introduction of the all-volunteer Board and Arts Committee, both of which she chairs. Treasurer Mark Piersol gave a quick financial report remarking that the Institution's financials are in good order. Executive Director Clay DeStefano gave a year-in-review highlighting successes and accomplishments from the past 12 months. Board member Garrie Borden then introduced the following slate of officers and conducted the vote. The following were elected or re-elected for the 2026/27 term: Joan Nagel, Chair; Annie Teehan, Vice Chair; Mark Piersol, Treasurer; and Tammy Gonzales, Secretary.

DeStefano highlighted several achievements from the past year. These include serving 30,000 people in 2025, increasing the number of volunteers to over 50, and expanding free and low-cost programming. The public art footprint also grew with the addition of a hummingbird mural in September 2025 and a front steps mosaic in May 2026.

More live musical performances, new class offerings, and being named Best Art Gallery and Best Social Venue in the most recent Best of Hays contest were also noted among the celebrated successes.

More than 50 guests of all ages enjoyed taking in the "Artful Alchemy" exhibit during the reception.
