

PRICE CENTER SEEKING MOSAIC ARTIST FOR GARDEN ART BENCH
What: The Price Center Arts Committee is seeking proposals from local mosaic artists for a new garden bench installation. The project includes three concrete benches installed in a semi-circle. The winning artist will successfully transform them into a mosaic installation honoring the San Marcos River. REFLECTIONS OF THE SPRINGS SET FOR SEPT 19 AT PRICE CENTER
Kicking off their 2021-22 season the Aquarena Springs Symphonic Band (ASSB) will join the Mermaid Festivities this month with an aquatic-themed concert on Sunday, Sept. 19th in the beautiful 1910 Room at the Price Center & Garden in downtown San Marcos. ROOTS, ANCESTRY, HERITAGE SUBJECT OF NEW COMPANION ART SHOWS AT PRICE CENTER
A new Call for Art is being put out by the Price Center’s Arts Committee asking for works inspired by your roots, ancestry, or heritage. The new two-month community art show will serve as a companion to a special new installation by San Marcos’ own Indigenous Cultures Institute, (ICI) which will focus on the origins and ancestors of our indigenous peoples.
