LOTS TO DO, SEE & HEAR AT UPCOMING THIRD THURS

The Price Center will join nearly two dozen other downtown galleries, shops, eateries, watering holes, and non-profit organizations to present the Downtown Association SMTX’s April installment of the Third Thursday Downtown Walkabout. Live music, pop-up markets and gallery shows, a film showing, free pedicabs, business of the month, door prizes and lots of retail and food and beverage specials are among the highlights planned for the April 19th event. Activities at the Price Center will feature a book signing by two local authors, new art shows, and live music by Tracy Weinberg & Friends. As always, the Center’s activities will run from 6-9 p.m., are free, open to all, and complimentary refreshments will be served.

Activities planned throughout the downtown area for the night include several opportunities to hear and see live music, art show openings, a showing of “Reefer Madness,” live poetry readings, close encounters with reptiles, and lots of retail and food and beverage specials. The Downtown Association, the presenters of the event, will have a booth with a punch card to win a grand prize. The Association is also sponsoring free pedicabs for the night to travel to and from various Walkabout participants. The Farmers Market and Sustainable San Marcos are also slated to be present with a mini-market of produce and starter plants for purchase.
