COMDANCE TO FEATURE 'DANCE SAMPLER' NEXT 3-WEEKS

Beginning tomorrow, the Price Center will be presenting a special, 3-week series of free dance classes for the community. Guest teachers Peggy Huddleston, Sybil Childers. and Carolyn Hansen will be presenting Square Dance, Line Dance and Clogging classes Oct. 10, 17 and 24 respectively to anyone who wants to give these dances a try. All skill levels are welcome. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet three terrific teachers and experience their various styles!

PEGGY HUDDLESTON: Square Dance

Peggy Huddleston is a hugely popular dance teacher from the Wimberley area. She recently retired from teaching line dance, square dance, clogging, and jazz to simply dancing and performing for pleasure. She currently dances with Sybil Childers, Cindy Gratz, Sara Carpenter, and Carolyn Hanson at The Price Center. She is famous for her sense of humor and expertise in teaching. We are so lucky to have her come out of retirement to present this Square Dance treat to San Marcos.

Sybil Childers is the foremost Line Dance teacher in the Kyle-Buda-San Marcos area. She currently has numerous enthusiastic followers from her classes at the City Hall Building in Kyle and from her Buda Line Dancing class at Onion Creek Senior Center. She also organizes and presents workshops in the area, bringing in great teachers from around the USA. We are excited to have this popular and exciting teacher at The Price Center.

CAROLYN HANSON: Clogging

Carolyn Hanson is our newest member of Community Dance at The Price. Her clogging classes are already doing very well and she has a steady following of dancers. Come and learn about this fun cross between tap, folk, line, and Irish step dancing. Clogging is very beneficial for coordination, balance, memory, and rhythm. Carolyn teaches with clarity and a passion that is irresistible.

Interested parties are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes, bring water, and come on out for THREE SPECIAL WEEKS OF COMMUNITY DANCE, OCTOBER 10-24 from 11 a.m. – Noon to enjoy an hour of free Line Dance, an hour of free Square Dance and an hour of Clogging with masterful, fun, teachers!

The classes are a great way to meet others who are interested in dance in the San Marcos area and explore one of its beautiful historical and cultural landmarks, the Price Center.
