HEALTHY ACTIVITY NOW INCLUDES CLOGGING @ PRICE CENTER

Fresh on the heels of recently expanded Zumba, Tai Chi, and Yoga offerings, the Price Center is pleased to announce the addition of another dance-related class that will focus on clogging. Carolyn Hanson, a new resident in San Marcos, will be teaching beginning and intermediate clogging at a free class every Monday and Wednesday from 10:15-11:15 a.m. at the Center beginning Sept. 13.

“I have found clogging to be so helpful for my memory, coordination, balance and overall brain function, said Hanson. “I know there are plenty of folks around here who would benefit as much as I have,” she added.

Clogging is a form of folk dancing that includes repetition like line dancing and uses taps and steps related to tap dance. You can learn more by Googling clogging videos such as “The Fireman” and “Pretty Little Angel Eyes.”

The new Clogging Class will be part of the ongoing healthy and engaging classes and gatherings at the Price Center. Regular, light physical activities such as Community Dance, Zumba Gold, Tai Chi and Yoga classes are also available throughout the week.
