SILK MANDALA PAINTING WORKSHOP SET FOR JULY 18

San Marcos, TX – Artists Ruby Dale Austin and Gigi Mederos are pleased to announce a new Silk Mandala Painting Workshop they will be offering at the Price Center on Mon., July 18 from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The workshop will be a day centered on drawing and painting as participants create a mandala on silk. Mederos, an experienced silk painter, will lead the group as each participant will first sketch, then draw, and finally paint their own silk painting. All materials are included in the cost of the workshop and participants are encouraged to wear appropriate art workshop attire.

Because mandala means “circle,” and represents balance and a sense of being centered, an important aspect of the workshop will be guided meditation led by Austin. In addition, each workshop participant will take home the mandala they create and be encouraged to place their completed works in a place at home or work where they will be reminded to seek balance in their lives.

Early registration is suggested as the workshop is limited to only 12 adults. Lunch will not be provided so participants may bring their own bagged lunch or treat themselves to lunch from the Tea Room, which is located on the first floor of the Price Center.

Interested participants need to register by visiting rioclarostudio.com and search on Workshops & Classes or use this shortened link: http://bit.ly/295n4qs .
