Price Center Issues New Call for Art - San Marcos: A River Runs Through It

Fresh on the heels of the successful opening event for its current art show, the Price Center’s newly formed Arts Committee is issuing a Call for Art for a new juried show. “San Marcos: A River Runs Through It” will feature original artworks reflecting the broad diversity of imagery, cultures, and activities happening and/or inspired by the community of San Marcos – submissions do not specifically need to reflect the river itself. The Call is open to all area artists who may submit up to two original works of art for this exhibit; 2-D work should be no larger than 24” x 36.” (There is space for a limited number of small to medium-sized 3-D pieces.) More than 50 new works of art by over 30 members of the San Macros Art League are the focus of a new art show hanging throughout the Price Center’s gallery venues now through early-August. “2019 & Beyond” features new works in a variety of media, including fiber, glass, mosaic, photography, acrylics, batik, assemblage, and more. An Artists’ Reception hosted by the Art League will be held Wed., June 26 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Center.
