Lone Star Christmas Carol Promises Treasured Holiday Experience
The Price Center will help bring the familiar holiday Dickens’ classic many know and love to San Marcos this holiday season via a new telling through story and song from husband and wife team Gary and Donna Taylor. Thirteen new songs, written and arranged by Gary, bring a mix of bluegrass, swing, western, country and even a bit of jazz to the tale. A Lone Star Christmas Carol will be presented Sat., Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. and again Sun., Dec. 16 at 2:30 on the Ron & Marie Jager


VETERANS, YOUTH, ART FOCUS OF THIS THIRD THURSDAY @ THE CENTER
The Price Center is honoring veterans this Third Thursday from 6-9 p.m. with more than a dozen Profiles of local Veterans by 5th graders from Crockett and Hernandez Elementary Schools and a live musical performance by the Heart of Texas Chorus beginning at 6:45. Additional new art displays by SMCISD K-12 and Pre-K students along with the opening of a new show of interpretations of Fall and Winter Holiday Traditions are also among the highlights. PRICE CENTER SUPERSTARS FOCUS OF RECENT TEDx TALK
Wellness and healthy aging were the focus of a TEDx talk given this past week by Price Center executive Director Clay DeStefano. The talk included stories of three particular remarkably healthy seniors who are regular and active participants in a number of the Center’s events and activities.
