Price Center Co-Founder, Co-Creator Dies

The Price Center is sad to share the news of the passing of our co-creator and co-founder Dr. Ron Jager. Dr. Jager passed peacefully this morning with his dear wife Marie and daughter Dea at his side. The Price Center, in fact, the community of San Marcos at large, owes so much to Ron Jager. He and Marie are responsible for many of the wonderful arts and cultural events and activities happening in San Marcos today. From Sights & Sounds of Christmas to Summer in the Park to the Price Center itself, everything traces back to Ron. 4th Flea Set for this Saturday at Center

4th Flea, downtown San Marcos’ only monthly community flea market, is this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Price Center. Vendors and participants can enjoy the array of items such as traditional furniture, clothing and household items as well as food and grocery products from the Centers’ own Tea Room, plants propagated from the Center’s Garden, and confirmed private vendors selling natural products, essential oils, floral arrangements, artwork, and more. The Center offers a variety of drinks for purchase including coffee, soft drinks and water for all. NEXT WEEK'S 3RD THURS TO FEATURE DINNER, LIVE MUSIC AND ART

This month’s 3rd Thursday Downtown Walkabout at the Price Center will feature a special dinner service, live music, new featured artwork, and an artists’ reception to meet the artists behind the newest show. From patriotic quilts and graphite artwork, to abstract paintings and assemblages, the Center is overflowing with a wide variety of locally created works. DuBois Gallery 9 Set for this Sat

10 artists will be featured as the Price Center hosts the DuBois Gallery 9, a local pop-up art event, on Saturday, July 15, from 5-9 p.m. The event is free, open to the public, and will include complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine. This latest installment of the DuBois Gallery will feature a variety of pieces ranging from mixed media jewelry to abstract collections. The DuBois Gallery 9 event will also feature Kelany Brent as the musical guest. Her songs are revived arrangements of old favorites. SMTX Yoga Expands Class Offerings at Price Center

San Marcos, TX – Fresh on the heels of recently expanded Zumba and Tai Chi offerings, the Price Center is pleased to announce that Anna Broome’s SMTX Yoga is now offering 3 additional classes per week at the Center.
