San Marcos, TX – 4th Flea, the only downtown, monthly community flea market will take place this Sat., Feb 25 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 222 W. San Antonio St. in the Price Center’s Garden and historic 1893 Room. “We continue to be pleased with the growing number of shoppers and return vendors,” said Clay DeStefano, Price Center executive director. “Our vendors are vastly diverse, and our attendees are always so enthusiastic that it makes the 4th Flea an event we truly look forward to hosting each month.” 4th Flea booths are available on first come, first served basis for $20 for outside space and $30 for an inside space. THIS WEEK’S DOWNTOWN WALKABOUT FEATURES NEW SOLO ARTIST OPENING AT PRICE CENTER & MORE

This week’s 3rd Thursday Downtown Walkabout activities at the Price Center will include the Opening Reception from 6 – 8 p.m. for a new solo art show in the Main Parlor, by Joanna Burch, a local artist who paints in oils on porcelain and traditional canvas as well in watercolor and pastels. The event is free, open to all, and light refreshments will be served. Guests to the Center this Thursday evening will have the opportunity to meet Burch while enjoying light refreshments. In addition, the current Watercolor show featuring the works of Carroll Dolezal hanging in the Tea Room and 8 Quilts and more than a dozen painted porcelain works on display in the Center’s main and upstairs halls. San Marcos, TX – The Price Center will host the upcoming 8th offering of DuBois Gallery, a reoccurring, free, Pop-Up Art event, on Sat. Feb. 11 from 5-9 p.m. in downtown San Marcos. A variety of DuBois’ founding artists will be joined by a few new ones for a night of locally created art, light appetizers, wine, music and a chance to pick up a special gift for your Valentine. Starting today, the Price Center is pleased to announce that due to the flourishing success of Janet Aron’s Zumba Gold class, Zumba will now be offered 5 days a week, Mon. - Fri. The original Zumba Gold class will operate at its normal time Mon., Wed., and Fri., from 9 a.m. - 9:45 a.m., and a new Zumba Gold class will now be offered from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., on Tues., and Thurs. The Price Center in downtown San Marcos is set to host auditions for the 17 annual Summer Musical Theatre Bootcamp production of “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers,” this Sat., Feb. 4, at 2:30 p.m. The production, which is bursting with the rambunctious energy of the original MGM film and all the boisterous fun and romance that harkens back to the glory days of the movie musical, is seeking talented young men and women aged 8 to 20 to fill a variety of roles.
